DVD-Audio-Link
This delivers six-channel DVD-Audio data at full 24-bit/192kHz resolution over a single IEEE 1394 connection. Which means that the digital audio data — in all its clarity and purity — is sent to an outboard processor or DAC.
GUI Control
Even if you don’t add a monitor to your system, you can still control the connected Multimedia Manager with the DVI-9990R’s special Graphical User Interface.

Burr-Drown DACs
Digital-to-analogue conversion is handled by six sets of Burr-Brown sine magnitude 24-bit K-grade DACs — the highest quality converters available, featuring exceptionally low distortion and an unmatched dynamic range of 120dB.
PC Link via USB
The PXI-H990 can also be fitted for computer connection (Windows XP/2000/98SE) via a USB cable, allowing even more comprehensive and convenient control of the processing features.

Multi-format compatibility
The PXI-H990 is compatible with the latest multichannel sound formats, including Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES Discrete 6.1, DTS Neo:6 and Dolby Pro Logic II (which converts 2-channel sound to 5.1-channel).

In this system example — ideal for multi-channel audio and video sources — the PXI-H990 serves as the main control centre for an 8-speaker channel system.
